An Adults Only hotelin a restored 19th-century manor house, nestled within 30,000 m² of beautifully landscaped botanical gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Located just 100 metres from the centre of Caniço, with easy access by foot to shops, restaurants, pharmacies, bank, supermarket, and other local services, the hotel is 8 km from Funchal and 9 km from airport.

Quinta Splendida offers the perfect balance of tranquillity, nature, and easy access to the city. This sanctuary is often described as an “Island within the Island.” More than a scenic setting, the garden serves as a haven for wellness, reconnection, and reflection, showcasing a wide variety of flora and offering guests moments of natural beauty and peace.

A recent addition is the Zen Garden – a tranquil sanctuary designed for meditation and mindfulness. Surrounded by stones, flowering trees, and gentle greenery, it invites guests to pause, breathe deeply, and embrace the stillness of the moment.

The gardens are home to seasonal flowers, aromatic plants, and an organic vegetable garden. Many of these herbs are used in the hotel’s wellness treatments and in dishes served at our restaurants, reflecting a deep-rooted philosophy of sustainability and respect for Nature.

Guests can enjoy one of the largest spas in Madeira, featuring 10 treatment rooms, a Finnish sauna, an indoor pool, an ice fountain, etc. Leisure activities nearby include golf, diving, and whale watching.

Elegant rooms at Quinta Splendida feature private balconies, modern furnishings, satellite TV, a minibar or kitchenette – ideal for long or independent stays.
